Located in the heart of Old Town, Devane's is La Quinta's Neighborhood Eatery. This tasteful and inviting restaurant pays tribute to the Devane family's passion for the great outdoors and their love of the West. Serving up New American dishes with a Western flare, and the Italian specialties the family has grown to love, Devane's provides the ideal location for a relaxed and friendly meal.
The walls of the restaurant highlight photographs of the family's Montana ranch and captures family members in a variety of outdoor activities they have enjoyed throughout the years. The dining room is a warm, comfortable environment where a fireplace sets the tone inside, and an outdoor dining area is landscaped with lush potted trees for guests to experience Devane's cuisine al fresco. With stunning views of the Santa Rosa Mountains, the patio area also features a cozy sofa and chairs situated in front of an outdoor fireplace with views of Old Town La Quinta.
Lunch and Dinner menus at Devane's Old Town feature a variety of home made pastas and specialty dishes, as well as signature salads, sandwiches and paninis. Devane's extensive bar menu offers an enticing array of small plates that has something for everyone and is available throughout the day.
Stocked with premium brands, the bar features specialty cocktails and martinis, domestic and imported beer on tap and a wide selection on wines by the glass. The wine list is comprised of a variety of California and Italian wine varietals.
During Devane's "Half-Off Happy Hour" guests enjoy half off well drinks, house wine, and draft beer, as well as half off the entire bar menu every day from 3:00pm – 6:00pm.

Since 1991, the Devane Family has proudly served their dedicated customers throughout the Coachella Valley. Devane's Classic Cuisine has stood the test of time at the original location in Indio, at Devane's in Rancho Mirage, and now at Devane's Old Town in the heart of La Quinta.
Years ago patriarch and acclaimed actor William Devane, along with is wife Eugenie and sons Josh and Jake, moved to California from their native New York and settled in the local area on a 140 acre horse ranch. The entire family discovered a true love for the great outdoors and their passions for fly-fishing, polo, golf, motorcycle riding, hiking were born and have been pursued ever since. As William's television and film acting career began to thrive, the family longed for the New York style Italian food they had enjoyed years before, and ventured into the restaurant business by opening Fab's Italian Kitchen in Indio which eventually took on the family's name and became Devane's Restaurant. Area residents and regular visitors immediately became loyal guests of the original Devane's that started a long tradition of great food and great service.
With Josh Devane at the helm of the restaurant group, signature dishes such as Devane's Home Made Lasagna, Veal Parmigiana, and Sand Dabs Picatta carry on as longtime favorites of Devane's customers. The menu continues to evolve and include a wide variety of non-Italian items the family has grown to love during their adventures throughout the West. At the Rancho Mirage location hand tossed specialty pizzas, garden fresh signature salads and home made comfort soups have been incorporated into the menu. A variety of New American small plates with a Western flare comprise an extensive bar menu at the La Quinta restaurant. Filet Mignon Quesadilla, Grilled Flat Iron Steak and Bill D's Hollywood Shishitto Peppers have now become new favorites as part of Devane's Classic Cuisine.
JOSH DEVANE
Restaurateur Josh Devane discovered his passion for food early on in life as home made pastas and Italian cuisine were a staple in the Devane household when he was a boy. With a knack for hospitality and a commitment to great food, Josh started his restaurant career at the highly successful Fab's Italian Kitchen in Los Angeles. After bringing the concept to the Desert area in 1991, Josh's guests and neighbors fondly referred to the family restaurant as Devane's, so it was decided that the Indio establishment would take on the family namesake.
The secret to Devane's success not only lies in the delicious food they have served over the years, but also by making their guests feel less like customers and more like part of an extended family. "Hospitality is what Devane's is all about," says Restaurateur Josh Devane. "By infusing a little bit of what the Devane family loves the most, through our food and atmosphere, our guests always feel right at home."
Josh Devane has continued the tradition of great food and great service for over 15 years and currently operates Devane's in Rancho Mirage, Devane's in La Quinta, and looks to launch an entirely new concept restaurant in Old Town La Quinta. Slated to open in the Fall 2009, VIVA Cantina and Grill will serve up bold and fresh Latin flavors and adventurous cocktails in a festive environment.
